Beyond the Beautiful Game
The World Cup reminds us that it's food and hospitality that turn strangers into community.

The Experience
Breaking Bread Across Borders
Every four years, the World Cup reminds us that sport has an incredible way of bringing people together. But this year, one of my favorite stories hasn't been about the matches—it's been about the millions of visitors discovering North America through its food.
I've loved seeing fans from around the world experience everything from Texas barbecue and neighborhood taco shops to Waffle House, Buc-ee's, and local diners.
What many Americans consider everyday meals have become unforgettable memories for people experiencing them for the first time.
It reminded me of something we often overlook. Hospitality is often someone's first impression of a place.
Every Meal Is a Cultural Exchange
When we travel, we rarely remember the airports or hotel rooms. We remember the meal that surprised us, the local restaurant someone insisted we try, or the conversation that lingered long after dessert.
Food has always been one of the easiest ways to experience another culture. It tells stories, preserves traditions, and creates connections long before we speak the same language.
That's one of the reasons I love what we do.
Every event gives us the opportunity to create an experience that feels personal, whether it's inspired by family traditions, cultural heritage, or simply the people gathered around the table.
The Real World Cup Experience
Long after the final whistle, most visitors won't remember every score.
They'll remember discovering an incredible meal after the match, sharing a table with strangers who became friends, or experiencing a culture through its food.
That's what makes hospitality so powerful.
It has the ability to turn unfamiliar places into welcoming ones and ordinary meals into lifelong memories.
